Join in the fun of Winthrop Harbor's 2022 Holiday Decorating Competition!
Who - Anyone who is not a grinch. Actually, even then you are welcome to participate and see your heart grow in small town holiday spirit. If you enjoy decorating the outside of your home or business for the holidays, this competition is for you! There will be two categories of competition - 1) Residential and 2) Business.
What - This is where your creativity gets to shine (Pun, 100% intended!). Lights, window painting, music...bring your ideas to festively decorate the exterior of your home or business.
When - Contestants must register by December 10th using the form below. On December 11th, a list of all registered participants will be updated on this site. Winners will be announced on December 20th.
Why - If community pride and bringing joy to your neighbors is not enough, Whitmore's Towing has also donated $50 for the winner of each category.
How - All are encouraged to visit and view the holiday displays. Please take pictures, tagging @WinthropHarbor.Recreation on Facebook. Judges from various Winthrop Harbor organizations will be visiting each registered address and voting on the winners.
