Winthrop Harbor is home to North Point Marina, the largest marina on the Great Lakes. With over 1,500 boat slips, recreation facilities and "world class" salmon and trout fishing, North Point Marina is destination to nearly one million visitors every summer. Plus it's part of Illinois Beach State Park!
The largest marina on the Great Lakes sports a protected floating dock system of 1,500 slips from 30 to 60 feet. The beach is in the process of a major upgrade to improve water quality and provide improved natural habitat of the dunes area. An enhanced picnic area just west of the parking lot will make you come back often. Washrooms and vending are available.

Our Schlader Recreation Center is the hub of activities for the Village with over 20,000 square feet of indoor space available for year-round activities.
