Directions to Winthrop Harbor
Getting to Winthrop Harbor. Sometimes called the Cornerstone of Illinois, Winthrop Harbor is the northeastern most town in Illinois and has many ways for the visitor to reach us. 
Car: Illinois State Route 137 Sheridan Rd. travels north near Lake Michigan from the northern suburbs of Chicago and south from Racine and Kenosha in WI. A faster route is Interstate 94 exiting East at Route 173 or Russell Rd. 
Metra: The Union Pacific/ North Line south from Kenosha and north from downtown Chicago, The Metra station is located just east of Sheridan Rd on 7th Street near Northpoint Marina.
Air: Less than an hour to either O'Hare Airport in Chicago or Mitchell Airport in Milwaukee. Private planes can use the  Waukegan Regional airport.
Water: Northpoint Marina. The largest marina on the Great Lakes sports a protected floating dock system of 1,500 slips, from 30 to 60 feet.
